  • Completed over 160 hours of CE applicable towards FAGD.
  • Provided multidisciplinary care for patients in a clinic as well as in a hospital setting.
  • Placed and restored implants using Zimmer and MIS implant systems.
  • Provided orthodontic treatment and follow-up weekly alongside ortho residents.
  • Fixed restorations include units of several materials, PFM, procera, and captek.  This includes tooth-borne as well as implant restorations.
  • Periodontal procedures include laterally positioned flap, open flap debridement, laser gingivectomies using biolase, guided bone regeneration, and frenectomies.
  • Built three obturators for cancer patients lacking palatal bone due to surgical resection.
  • Surgical and pre-prosthetic procedures include: diagnosing and treating odontogenic infections, incision and drainage, simple and surgical exodontia, alveoplasties, palatal, as well as mandibular tori removal procedures.
  • Provided endodontic treatment, including  molar endodontics, using both hand and rotary instrumentation.  All endodontics in the clinic were provided by general practice residents.
  • Provided overnight on-call service for outpatients and inpatients with trauma, infections, and pathology.  This involved anything from infections, to pathology, to oral and maxillofacial trauma, sutured extensive facial and tongue lacerations.
  • Inpatient hospital care involved working with patients on both a consult and a primary provider basis, depending on the severity of trauma and surgical needs of patient.
  • Optimized patients for general anesthesia and OR cases for the OMFS residents.
  • Intubated and managed airways for OR patients during two week anesthesia rotation.

  • Incorporated a pilot oyster reef building project into one of CBF’s education programs.  This was among the first at CBF to incorporate hands-on restoration with education.
